It is significantly harder than the Nozzle X and any other conventional hardened steel nozzle. This is achieved by combining a tool steel insert with an E3DLC coating. This specially formulated coating also gives the nozzle non stick properties, meaning significantly less plastic builds up around the nozzle. Experiment
